Russia has launched one of the largest missile attacks in Ukraine since the beginning of the war with the main target being Kiev, as international media reported.
Since Russia’s missile attack on Ukraine in the early hours of Sunday, they were provoked widespread disasters in residential areas and industrial facilities.
According to the Ukrainian air force, Russia launched in total 41 missiles and 125 drones against Ukrainewith Kiev as the main target. The Ukrainian armed forces announced that they shot down or neutralized by electronic means 126 aerial targets, including 18 missiles and 108 drones. Nevertheless, 23 missiles and 10 drones hit targets, causing at least 20 points of damagewhile debris from downed drones fell in 18 more locations.

Dead and injured in Ukraine
The attacks caused at least one death one person and the injury of dozens morewhile apartment buildings, office buildings and industrial facilities were affected in many districts of Kyiv.
In the Solomiansky district they broke out large fires in a high-rise residential building and an office building, while damage was also recorded in Shevchenkivskiy, Sviatochinskiy, Desnyanskiy and Dniprovskiy districts. Authorities said rescuers freed residents from damaged buildings as firefighting efforts continued for hours.
In the Kyiv region, in Butsa district, they were engulfed in flames two storage areas with a total area of approximately 100,000 square meters. More than 200 firefighters, 73 vehicles and three helicopters were involved in the extinguishing operation, with authorities reporting that the blaze was brought under control, but not fully extinguished.
The attack took place one day after the big one Ukrainian drone strike on Russian targetswhich reportedly hit Wildberries logistics centers and fuel storage facilities near Moscow.
Although the temporal sequence of the two attacks is obvious, Moscow has not officially stated that the missile attack in Kiev was in retaliation for the Ukrainian strikes.

“During the night, the Russia launched one of the largest ballistic missile attacks against Kiev. The enemy launched more than 40 missiles of various types, most of them aimed at her capitalas well as 120 attack drones.
So far, it has been confirmed death of a man in Kyiv and the wider area, while another 16 have been injured. I express my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims. All injured are receiving the necessary medical care. The operations of the rescue crews continue in three places, with the participation of almost 600 rescuers. The competent services also operate in the Odesa region.
In total, during this week, Russia used about 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided air bombs and 99 missiles of various types against Ukraine. Injuries were reported in the Odesa region and Zaporizhia, while damage was recorded in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson and Cherkasy regions were also attacked.
