The 25-year-old arrested for the teargas attack that led to the death of Vaya Nestora will also be sent to prison.
After the completion of his confession, the accused was deemed temporarily detained with the agreement of the interrogator and the Prosecutor.
The number of pre-trial detainees has now reached 4, including those arrested so far. In addition to the 25-year-old, it is the owner of the apartment and the two alleged perpetrators of the attack, the 29-year-old and the 26-year-old.
He denied any involvement in the case
During his plea, the 25-year-old reportedly categorically denied any involvement in the case, claiming he had nothing to do with the attack. According to what became known, he spoke of false claims by the 24-year-old owner of the apartment who allegedly named him as the person to whom he handed over the keys to the apartment, which was used by the perpetrators before and after the attack. In fact, he denied that he managed the keys or that he gave them to the natural perpetrators of the attack.
The investigation by the Anti-Terrorist Service continues, while the case file handled by the investigator includes both the murderous attack on the Nestora house and the two incendiary attacks with tear gas that occurred on the same day at the homes of the president of the Steering Committee of the ND Thessaloniki, Zisi Ioakeimovich and the former MP, Savva Anastasiadis. The prosecution involves serious charges, including manslaughter, terrorist organization, explosion, possession of explosives and arson.
