On the occasion of its re-release 10 years later, the multi-award-winning musical La La Land, also renews its official poster, on the occasion of an imperfection which was restored.
In the poster released for the re-release of the film to mark the 10th anniversary of its release, Ryan Gosling’s hand has been subtly digitally manipulated to point upwards, mirroring the hand position of his co-star Emma Stone.
In the original poster, Gosling’s arm was stretched out horizontally.

The actor previously said he was unaware that the photo, which was taken in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park, would be used to promote the film and that he had positioned his hand that way because he thought it would look “cool”.
He had called this hand gesture “La La Hand”, saying that it “destroyed the energy” of the image.
OR a new version of the poster was revealed on Tuesday via an Instagram postwhich was accompanied by the simple caption: “A small adjustment”.
In an earlier interview with the Wall Street Journal Magazine, Gosling had poked fun at himself, calling himself “Hamburger Hands Gosling” because of his awkward posture.
As he had said, he had some experience with dancing before filming the film, but “it didn’t help him at all in the end”.

In March, Gosling also recreated this signature pose with his Project Hail Mary co-star, the alien Rocky.
In a Facebook post shared by his partner, Eva Mendes, he said: “This is my last attempt to fix ‘La La Hand’ and my friend Rocky is going to help me.”
He then took a photo-op position, posed and shouted, “How’s my hand?”
In the same post, Mendes wrote that “La La Hand” was “one of Ryan’s biggest regrets” and that recreating the pose was an attempt to “finally put things right.”
La La Land had mistakenly won the Oscar for Best Picture
La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle, starred Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a couple who meet and fall in love while chasing their dreams in Los Angeles.
The film was a major commercial success, with grosses exceeding $500 millionwhile also receiving excellent reviews.
La La Land was also linked to one of the most memorable moments in Oscar history when, at the 2017 ceremony, actress Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced that she had won the Oscar for Best Picture.
The film’s cast took to the stage before the real winner, Moonlight, was announced.
At the same ceremony, Emma Stone won the Oscar for Best Actress, while Damien Chazelle was honored with the Best Director Oscar.
La La Land will be re-released in US cinemas on August 16th and UK cinemas on August 28th.
